With “mouth dry and heart pounding,” Bright wrote later, “I spoke with Bob [a visitor to Hollywood Presbyterian] about inviting Jesus Christ into his life . . ” Bright’s effort was successful, and the recipient of his first attempt at personal evangelism eventually went to seminary.
